Software Developer - Midrand at Wood

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designing, developing, testing, documenting, and supporting new functionality and existing functionality following core principles, practices, processes, and architectural standards of the organisation 
• Writing well designed, testable and clean code. 
• Contributing to all phases of the software development life cycle 
• Resolving technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation
• Maintenance/Support of developed applications

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an Engineering discipline. Working Experience based on the Responsibilities and Requirements will be considered. 
• Minimum of 5 years of experience of design and development of commercial full stack C# .NET, desktop, and web applications  
• Experience in Hexagon Software (Smart plant 3D, Smart Materials, Smart Construction Smart plant PID) and interfacing with these packages and their APIs
• Working experience with the following technologies ASP.NET Web API, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, WFP and Classic WinForms
• Working experience of Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.
• Microsoft SharePoint Development Knowledge
• Proven track record of full life-cycle development, including requirement gathering and analysis, design, implementation, deployment, testing and maintenance with strong problem-solving skills 
• Solid Understanding of design patterns and Object-Oriented programming 
• Familiarity with version control with Git and/or Azure Devops
• Experience of working in an engineering environment 
• Understanding of usability issues and experience on user interface design 
• Design and development of full stack .NET Core and classic applications written in C# 
• IIS 
• Understanding of Microsoft Access applications and how to convert them into proper standalone applications using above mentioned application types and SQL server
