Software Engineer at DataProphet

Role Overview:

We are looking for a data-centric Software Engineer who will be responsible for helping to accelerate DataProphet's integration of our flagship PRESCRIBE product into new and interesting factories and foundries around the world.

You will get to build the data platform to enable ML to execute on real time manufacturing data and improve the stability and reliability of data ingest, storage, training and inference systems. Additionally, you will spend your time making Python libraries, designing code templates, building scaffold systems and generating code from graphs. The ideal person for this role is someone who wants to make ETL fly!

Roles and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Building and improving tooling & platform to enable DP to rapidly integrate PRESCRIBE with our many customers.

• Focus on improving client integration & install time

• Systems & software engineering focused role.

• Interacting with upstream client data systems, and ensuring that ingest into our platform is running smoothly and efficiently.

Measures of success:

• Time to ETL completion (handover to data science team for a project)

• System stability

• Test coverage + System Performance & Availability

Qualifications & Experience:

• 3-4 years working as a software engineer

• Expert level Python guru

• Deep understanding of SQL databases, Linux.

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure)

• Experience with real time data systems a plus.

• Experience with large data systems / ETL tools a plus.

• Experience with automated configuration management systems & DevOps tooling a plus.

• 3 / 4 year degree in Engineering / Computer Science
