So, what will you do?

• Building new technologies, maintaining existing technologies as well as testing various systems within the FinTech space.
• You will be working in an Agile environment within a collaborative cross-functional Team, reporting into the Software Development Manager.

In addition to the above, you will;

• Develop and refine dynamic web applications, ensuring responsive design and seamless front-end to back-end integration.
• Code, test, and debug complex functionalities using modern JavaScript frameworks and server-side logic.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate requirements and mockups into fully functioning features.
• Maintain and improve code quality, organization, and automatisation, adhering to code versioning best practices.
• Spearhead the implementation of new technology and frameworks to optimize performance and maintain cutting-edge application standards.
• Perform rigorous testing to identify bottlenecks, bugs, and technical issues before and after deployment.
• Participate in code reviews and pair programming sessions to share knowledge and improve team skill set.
• Engage in the ongoing learning of backend data services and user interface conventions to better meet the needs of users and the business.
• Proactively monitor live systems, address user feedback, and rapidly troubleshoot operational issues in a cloud-hosted environment.
• Mentor and guide Level 1 Engineers.
• Work and independently complete Tasks.

Deal Breakers:

• At least 4 years of relevant experience with the below technologies:
• Advanced proficiency in client-side technologies: HTML5, CSS3, and pre-processing platforms like SASS or LESS.
• Expertise in JavaScript ES6+ and JavaScript frameworks, with a focus on React.js.
• Strong command of TypeScript for scalable, maintainable code development and In-depth knowledge of Node.js for building efficient server-side applications.
• Experience with RESTful API consumption and design.
• Familiarity with infrastructure methodologies SST-Stack and JAMSTACK
• Hands-on experience with AWS services, including Lambda for serverless applications, DynamoDB for NoSQL database management, S3 for object storage, and EC2 for compute capacity.

Any relevant experience with the below technologies would make you a front runner for the role:

• Proficiency in testing with Jest and familiar with TDD and BDD concepts.
• Solid understanding and application of software design patterns and SOLID principles.
• Competent in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and functional programming techniques.
• Comfortable with development environments such as VSCode and IntelliJ IDEA.
• Good grasp of Git for version control and GitHub or Bitbucket for repository hosting.
• Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and related AWS tooling.
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize application performance within a microservices architecture.

Qualifications

• The following would be advantageous:
• A degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
