Software Engineering Team Lead at Kurtosys Systems

THE OPPORTUNITY:

• Solve challenging and interesting engineering problems.
• Write code using some of the latest technologies and cloud services.
• Collaborate with fellow developers and teams via code reviews and knowledge sharing sessions.
• Provide guidance on architecture and create technical specifications.
• Review architecture and technical designs.
• Manage and mentor software developers of different skill levels.
• Empower and enable team members to complete work independently.
• Identify and implement software development process improvements.
• Introduce and encourages technical innovation.

THE NON-NEGOTIABLES:

• Strong problem solving and debugging skills.
• Software development experience inJavaScript, TypeScript or other languages such as C#, and Java.
• Experience building web sites and web services.
• Comfortable writing SQL statements and using SQL databases.
• Experience using unit and integration tests.
• Knowledge of modern cloud infrastructure services.
• Promote good software development practices such as:
• Collaboration and knowledge sharing (especially around gathering and understanding requirements, and designing solutions).
• Solution design.
• Code quality, in terms of maintainability, performance, scaling, security, test coverage, documentation (both technical and user facing help)
• Focus on delivery, the team meeting commitments, and communicating progress or impact on delivery.
• Manage technical debt in a balanced way.
