Job Overview

Responsibilities

• Rely on product knowledge and use black-box as well as white-box test derivation techniques to analyse and define test cases.
• Explore product features and feature interactions to discover inadequacies and to expose high risk areas likely to escape automated test processes.
• Liaise closely with core development teams and participate in the development of our automated tests and our CI/CD pipeline.
• Manage a test record to report on software quality, to re-test improvements and bug fixes, and as input to regression and automated test development.
• Contribute to the quality of the product by collaborating with the documentation team to develop user documentation and learning support material.
• Participate in the team's adoption of scrum and a DevOps philosophy. Increase the visibility of product quality through improved test analytics and reporting, improve the flow of work from development through to production, and establish quick feedback cycles to upstream development teams and from downstream operations teams.

Required Experience / skills

• Appropriate tertiary qualification (at least a Bachelor’s degree at NQF level 7)
• Test certification or postgraduate qualification in software testing preferred
• At least 3 years work experience in a software development or engineering environment
• Software development experience preferred
• Troubleshoot bugs by analyzing logs
• Bug reporting with screenshots and videos
• Experience in telecommunication protocols beneficial
• Experience in software management processes beneficial
