Conduct research on potential suppliers and vendors; promotions, and other industry trends as a source of accurate and up-to-date information for purchasing activities. Enter data into databases or other computerized systems to maintain up-to-date supplier and vendor information; to track purchase and the status of orders and deliveries; and to generate purchasing reports and statistics. Monitor the quality and timeliness of materials and goods supplied; follow-up the status of purchase orders with vendors to ensure timely delivery; and communicate status of orders with internal customers.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the end to end contract management process.
Ensure supplier stakeholders comply with relevant regulatory requirements by providing guidance to ensure adherence to all policies, procedures, standards.
Provide effective advice to the wider organization on contract/agreement entitlements, obligations, and purchasing methods and quantities.
Identify and support the implementation of process and system enhancements to continuously improve contract management process.
Study/research best practice processes and benchmark the Company processes at regular intervals.
Assist in mitigating risk in terms of contractual exposure to the Company.
Develop and implement preferential procurement strategy for compliance for indirect procurement.
Manage allocated contract portfolio from a contract life cycle management and milestone perspective.
Represent Group to negotiate and secure approval on various commercial contracts for our client's Group (strategic sourcing contracts).
Liaise with internal stakeholders and suppliers in the development of Service Level Agreements (SLA's) with suppliers.
Profile Required
Qualified Attorney with LLB or B.Com Law (majoring in Commercial & Contracts Law).
2-6 years’ experience in commercial contract management, preferably in a professional services environment.
Valid driver’s license.
Will be required to travel locally and internationally.
