Sous Chef at Phoenix Recruitment

• We are looking for a strong, creative candidate with 5* luxury hospitality experience, ideally including private villa dining.

Duties:

• Preparation and design of all food.
• Produce high-quality meals both in taste and design
• Ensure the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards.
• Solve any issues that arise and take control of any problematic situations
• Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and guests
• Comfortable in talking to and dealing with guests

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• A formally qualified chef with a fine-dining background (luxury lodge or boutique hotel experience preferred).
• Proven 5* culinary experience
• Private villa dining experience
• Experience with kosher food preparation requirements
• Confidence catering for a wide range of dietary requirements and allergies
• An inventive and creative approach to menus, presentation and personalised guest dining
• A strong preference for sustainable practices, including responsible ingredient use, waste reduction and local sourcing where possible
