The ideal candidate is someone with a strong culinary and operational skillset, ability to lead and manage a brigade effectively, quality driven, a leader, stable track record and able to perform under pressure. A formal culinary education, own reliable transport and valid driver’s licence is essential. Candidates to reside in the local vicinity of Stellenbosch.
Experience / Skill / Qualification:
Certificate or Diploma in Professional Cookery
Must be able to cook, with experience in a fine-dining or premium casual restaurant
Strong cooking skills with the ability to manage and expedite service
Comprehensive knowledge of hygiene and food safety standards
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a kitchen brigade
Good understanding of stocktaking, administration, and computer literacy
