A relevant Trade Test Qualification: Boilermaker or Millwright
Minimum of 5 years’ post apprenticeship experience.
Knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
Supervisory Experience.
Valid driver’s licence.
Must be physically fit and able bodied.
Compulsory to work after hours and over the weekend.
Compulsory to do standby duty.
Key Performance Areas
Managing and leading the facility workshop and resources to ensure the maintenance of facility fixed plant, container fleet, manage and control the assets, conduct pro-active and reactive maintenance including checking, greasing, fitting, turning, welding, etc. on plant and equipment in accordance with maintenance plans and OEM manuals.
Co-ordinates activities and sequences associated within specific functional areas such as Building Maintenance, Mechanical, Electrical and Hydraulic.
Fault finding and repairs.
Supervising staff in the performance and execution of their duties to ensure work is completed timeously.
Complete internal transactional documentation.
Planned and predictive maintenance.
Ensure that all maintenance work is done in accordance with best practice and in accordance with OHS requirements and regulations
