1 - 3 years experience an investment advisory, financial planning, or treasury environment.
Knowledge of relevant legislative requirements.
Knowledge of DUT financial and treasury-related policies and procedures.
Understanding of the Higher Education environment.
Sound knowledge of the current and future practices in the business area to apply to the best interest of the Institution.
Knowledge and understanding of policies and procedures applicable to the specific work environment to ensure that work outcomes are compliant with the policies and procedures.
Summary of Duties:
Provide key data, information, and investment related advice for input into the strategy of the treasury function in support of the Treasury Manager.
Implement and meet targets assigned in the Treasury function’s operational plan.
Conduct investment planning, procurement, and the investment of funds for DUT.
Monitor growth in investment assets and ensure acceptable returns.
Prepare investment reports for submission to the Treasury Manager.
Provide advice for the effective investment of liquidity funds effectively to ensure good returns for the institution.
Provide recommendations to the Treasury Manager regarding the diversification of the capital and investment base.
Ensure compliance to all policies, procedures, and practices, and to legal and regulatory requirements.
Provide investment-related input into the month-end and year-end statements.
Provide investment-related input into the funding budget requirements for DUT.
Maintain professional relationships with stakeholders.
Provide advice to finances and business partners on financial controls, policy/procedure, and financial modeling.
