Core Description    

• Responsible for the short-, mediumand long-term M&T network plan and rollout. Ensure that the M&T network plan addresses the needs of customers in terms of coverage, quality, and applicable technology.

Job Responsibilities    

• Responsible for the compilation and maintenance of the national M&T master plan
• Provide high-level support for any queries, requests, and escalations regarding the M&T master plan
• Determine the current utilization of the national M&T portfolio according to technology and financial viability.
• Determine financial viability of future technology decisions and plans
• Report to management on rollout status of M&T plans
• Identify and prioritise sites for new tower rollout
• Obtain approval and verification of site plans and acceptance documentation
• Plan and implement coverage and capacity solutions as per business requirements
• Plan customer-specific solutions strategies in line with the M&T strategy
• Conduct site visits for planning
• Track and follow up on site build versus plan

Qualifications    

• Relevant 3-year Degree/ Diploma (at least NQF level 6), preferably in telecoms-related field.

Experience    

• 5 years of network planning & optimization experience. Management of network planning vendors & sub-contractors will be an advantage.

Special Requirements    

• Willing to work outside normal working hours when required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willing to travel and stay out overnight.
