Specialist | Retail Operations | Life & Retirement Operations
We are looking for a detail-oriented and client-focused individual to join our Death Validations team within the Retail Division. This role involves managing death notifications and validating claims across Life and Discretionary products. The successful candidate will ensure accurate, timely, and diligent processing of instructions received from beneficiaries, executors, and independent financial advisers (IFAs).
This position requires strong process and systems knowledge, excellent client service skills, and the ability to resolve queries efficiently.
Responsibilities
Validate and verify death notification documents.
Process death claim instructions for Life products (AGLA, AGEN, AGTF).
Ensure all instructions are complete and ready for processing by relevant administration teams.
Communicate with beneficiaries, executors, and IFAs regarding instructions and outstanding requirements.
Process claims within defined service level agreements (SLAs).
Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and mitigate risk (including fraud prevention).
Handle queries and provide support to beneficiaries, executors, and IFAs.
Consulting with internal stakeholders such as Legal, Tax, Compliance, and other departments.
Maintain accurate records of all interactions using Siebel.
Participate in ad hoc duties and projects as required.

Education
Matric and a relevant business or commerce degree (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 12 months’ experience within Allan Gray Retail Operations.
Solid understanding of Life, Offshore, and Discretionary products.
Proficient in systems such as Siebel and FlexCube.
