Specialist: Systems Administrator at Vodacom

Role Purpose

The Specialist: Systems Administrator role is based within Finance.
To ensure that user requirements for the business are documented, developed and delivered on. To ensure that new collection strategies are designed, developed and reported on To track and monitor the success of new collection strategies. To enhance and monitor the automated collection strategies and integration layers.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• To maintain, optimise and analyse system strategies in order to maximise business proficiency.
• Optimise Systems to Business/Functional Requirements
• Analyse System & Business Requirements for current and future integration
• Regular System Testing
• Analyse Systems Error and Resolution of errors
• Defining Business Processes & Supporting System Procedures
• Data Analysis & Data Mapping To ensure requirements are implemented according to business needs
• Draw up specs for System Change
• Change Control Procedures
• Liaise with Vendors with System Issues To ensure regular system maintenance without impacting business up-time
• Create User Access on the Systems and link to groups
• Configuration of User Profiles
• Install New Software
• Update Database Tables
• User Locking / Access
• Report System Downtime
• Fix errors on the System
• Resolve day to day System Issues
• Test Planning & Testing Execution for System / Functional Testing & VAT
• Produce User Guides on System
• Provide Support to other business parties
• Assist Credit Bureau with Data Base / Client Storage
• Attend to Client / Team Members Queries
• Train Users on usage of System
• Maintain Strong Relationships with Suppliers
• Maintain Strong Relationships with Internal Parties, i.e. CSG To create and maintain reports
• Compile MIS Reports
• System Faults Reports
• Downtime Reports
• Maintain Systems & Reference Documentation
• Compile Reports using Business Objects and Crystal Reporting Core competencies

The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will Have

• A matric/Grade 12 is essential and
• Relevant certificates, courses essential i.e.
• Studying towards (Informatics, Project Management, Business Analysis)
• A relevant 3 year Degree or National Diploma in a commercial field is essential
• A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in the following is essential:
• Collections call centre systems
• SQL development
• Systems integration
• Collections environment
• Tallyman environment
• Tallyman configuration experience
• Automatic experience
• A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in the following is essential:
• Collections call centre systems
• Systems integration
• Collections environment
• Tallyman environment
• 3 years Tallyman configuration experience
• 2 Years Database experience
• Automatic experience
• Knowledge of GSM cellular industry
• Knowledge of Call Centre technology
• Knowledge of Project Management
• Knowledge of Accounting principles
• Knowledge of Financial System (IT)
• Knowledge of ISO Standards
• Knowledge of Legislation
