Stock Controller (Durban) at Mustek Limited

Job Purpose:

• To meticulously oversee the Incoming, Outgoing, Replenishment & Maintenance of KZN Stock.

Responsibilities:

Stock Handling

• Drawing up of the stock count sheets & daily stock counts must be undertaken.
• Stock locations must be periodically checked.
• Stock discrepancies must be addressed daily.
• Report any issues regarding stock discrepancies to the warehouse manager.
• All credits must be reconned to ensure no mistakes were made in the credits process.  Credits must be assessed to ascertain if the stock spreadsheet needs to be updated.
• Cancellations must be overseen & stock spreadsheet adjusted accordingly.
• Drawing up of the truck schedule & recon stock & orders that are coming in.
• Careful monitoring of mails.
• Recon all mails to do with stock & orders.
• Regular generating of stock reports to assess stock health, stock movement & stock aging.
• Findings must be reported to Warehouse Manager as a matter of importance.
• Regular monitoring & ordering in of replenishment stock.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

• Matric
• At least 2-year applicable warehouse/stores experience at a similar level preferred
• Qualification in Inventory Control
• Qualification in the Microsoft Suite

• Basic mathematical acumen
• Stock taking

• Best storage practices to mitigate risk in terms of damage, loss of stock.

• Using information technology (e.g. the company’s in-house supply chain system)
