Store Clerk - General Stores (Fixed Term Contract) at Novus Holdings Ltd

• Novus Print: Montague Gardens is seeking to appoint an individual on a 3-month Fixed Term Contract with knowledge and experience in an FMCG printing environment to take on the role of a Stores Clerk. The successful candidiate will report to the Stores Coordinator in the General Stores department. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities    

• Receiving, storing, and issuing of stock according to prescribed procedures and principles 
• Accurate record keeping of physical stock received to be recorded on the inventory management system
• Offloading of all stock received 
• Ensure systematic procedures and guidelines for the stores are enforced at all times 
• Ensure minimum and maximum stock threshold are maintained at all times
• Assist with month end and year end stock take as and when required 
• Maintain equipment, products, materials, and other stock within the stores, in  neat, clean and orderly condition
• Ensure that the packing system of stock is controlled and applied with last in first out method
• Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained
• Adherence to safety procedures and operational maintenance 
• Perform any adhoc tasks within the scope or context of the job as determined by your superior 

Educational Requirements    

• Grade 12 or equivalent 

Experience Requirements    

• A valid Forklift license
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in a warehouse or stock/inventory control environment
• A minimum of 2 years' experience operating a forklift
• Knowledge of the general layout of a production or manufacturing environment 

Skills and Competencies    

• Sound Knowledge of stock taking procedures 
• Maintenance of effective stock control 
• Computer Literate- Microsoft Office packages and Accpac 
• Strong administrative abilities 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• Safety consciousness 
• Be stress tolerant and work well under pressure 
• Ability to prioritize work 
• Excellent time and attendance 
• The ability to work independently on the assigned responsibilities and should be able to work well in a team
