Storeperson (Healthcare) at Tsebo Solution

• We are seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Storekeeper to join our Hospital Kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective receiving, storage, control, and distribution of food, consumables, and operational supplies to ensure uninterrupted food service delivery within a healthcare environment.

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Receive, inspect, and verify all stock delivered to the hospital kitchen against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Ensure correct storage of food, beverages, cleaning materials, and consumable items in accordance with food safety standards.
• Maintain accurate stock records and update inventory systems accordingly.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages, damages, and discrepancies.
• Conduct regular stock counts and assist with monthly stock takes.
• Ensure stock rotation is managed according to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles.
• Issue stock to kitchen staff and departments as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of storerooms, refrigerators, and freezers.
• Assist with ordering processes and inventory forecasting.
• Adhere to all hospital health, safety, hygiene, and infection control policies.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and quality assurance standards

Skills and Competencies    

• Knowledge of inventory control and stock management procedures.
• Experience handling food and consumable stock.
• Computer literacy, including MS Office and stock management systems.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Physically fit and able to lift and move stock when required.

Qualifications    

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Storekeeper, Stock Controller, or Stores Assistant within a food service, hospitality, healthcare, or catering environment
