ACDC Dynamics, a leading manufacturer, importer, and distributor of quality products in the electrical, electronics, pumps, and tools industry is looking for an experienced and dynamic Stores Clerk.
The Stores Clerk is responsible for supporting the efficient operation of the warehouse or stores department by receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining inventory of materials, tools, and products used in the manufacturing process. This role ensures accurate documentation and adherence to inventory control procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and inspect incoming materials for quantity and quality, verifying against purchase orders and delivery notes.
Record and document stock receipts accurately in the inventory management system.
Safely store materials and supplies in designated storage areas, ensuring proper labeling and organization.
Issue materials and components to production departments based on job orders or requisitions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records through regular cycle counts and periodic stock audits.
Assist in the preparation and participation in physical inventory counts.
Coordinate with procurement and production teams to track inventory levels and report shortages or overstock.
Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of materials in compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the stores/warehouse area.
Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks as required.
Prepare and maintain various reports related to inventory, stock levels, and usage trends.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in supply chain management or logistics is a plus.
Proven experience in a stores or warehouse environment, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
Basic knowledge of inventory control practices and procedures.
Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems is an advantage.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and effectively.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Physically fit and able to lift and carry materials up to [X] kg/lbs.
