RPO Recruitment's client, a reputable multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm is looking for a motivated Structural Engineer to join its Johannesburg office. This opportunity is ideal for a professional with experience in structural design for commercial developments who enjoys working in a collaborative consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare structural designs and technical documentation for commercial building projects.
Develop and coordinate structural models and drawings using Revit and Tekla.
Work closely with architects, engineers and other project stakeholders to deliver coordinated design solutions.
Attend project meetings and provide technical input throughout the design process.
Liaise with clients, contractors and the wider professional team to ensure project objectives are achieved.
Assist in resolving design challenges and contribute to the successful delivery of projects.
Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards and project specifications.
Requirements:
BSc or BTech Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
Minimum of 3 years' experience in structural engineering within a consulting environment.
Proven experience in the structural design of commercial building projects.
Proficiency in Revit and Tekla.
Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, design standards and industry best practices.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Professional and confident when attending client and project meetings.
