    Description
    As a Footwear & Accessories manager you will contribute to the continued growth of Superbalist by driving and managing a team of buyers to be the biggest and most loved fashion destination in South Africa. You will be working in a fast paced and dynamic environment with leaders in their field. Your primary accountability is to build and manage a strategy (to be implemented by your team) using historic data, trend and market analytics targeted to the young South African millennial consumer that will deliver and/or exceed all KPI's.

    The Role

    • Ensure the Superbalist Customer is at the heart of everything that we do
    • Be accountable for delivery to all KPI's including sales, margin and stock targets.
    • Through in depth market and data analysis create a strategy that brings the world's best product to Superbalist customers exclusively and at the right price to drive continued profitable sales growth.
    • Be first to market through monitoring of global and local trends.
    • Manage your team to ensure effective delivery to all strategic intents.
    • Partner with the team to ensure that private label and 3rd party merchandise delivers to retail strategy against pricing, margin and assortment.
    • Be accountable for securing and managing key accounts and maintain strong working relationships to negotiate best price, great value offers and exclusive stock.
    • Negotiate preferential trading terms with local and international suppliers
    • Partner with the Planner to jointly analyse the data, identifying gaps and opportunities.
    • Lead by example through coaching, mentoring and directing a team of buyers to create a culture that lives the Superbalist values.
    • Collaborate effectively with internal teams to deliver a world class customer experience through all platforms of engagement including, web content, marketing, social and customer support.
    • Manage critical path and partner with the logistics team to ensure on time and accurate delivery of stock
    • Motivate and develop your team, while ensuring appropriate succession planning.

    Key Requirements

    • Matric (grade 12) exemption
    • Relevant Diploma or Degree in Fashion, Marketing, Design, BSC or BComm
    • 8+ years' experience in retail
    • 2+ years managerial experience in retail and/or e-commerce environment
    • Competency in MS Office packages specifically in excel
    • Deep knowledge and understanding of retail maths
    • Proven ability in analytics & logical interpretation of data
    • Strong branded footwear and accessories experience

    • Excellent commercial acumen
    • Leadership, coaching and mentoring skills
