    Supervisor (Cleaning & Hygiene)

    Job Purpose    

    • Responsible for coordinating overall hygiene including effective deep cleaning and pest control in line with the environmental, quality and health and safety standards, supervising the cleaning contractor by ensuring that the carry out their duties as per the agreed SLA.

    Key Responsibility Areas    

    • Ensuring that all aspects of the hygiene service are carried out and maintained to the required standard.
    • Managing the provision of hygiene chemicals and dosing equipment on site.
    • Managing the segregation, storage and timely removal of all waste-recyclables, landfill, hazardous and confidential waste streams.
    • Ensuring all hygiene and waste staff is trained and competent in all procedures relevant to Health and Safety.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Good Health.

    • Planning and Organising- The ability to plan activities within specific timeframes and then to execute these activities according to plan.
    • Data Processing & Analysis- Ability to process data and bring out about improvements in the way in which it is processed.
    • Interpersonal Relationships- The ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with people within and outside of the   Municipality.
    • Communication- The capacity to listen attentively, grasp issues, present information in a clear manner and respond appropriately to verbal and written communication of others.
    • Action Orientation- The display of high work ethic in setting and achieving challenging goals, meeting deadlines and keeping promises. It manifests itself in one’s ability to stay focused on tasks, to be energetic, persistent and reliable.
    • Cognitive ability- The ability to gather information, analyse issues and deal with complexity and ambiguity. Shows long-term thinking, follows through in a logical manner, aware of consequences and implications. Is able to see the ‘Bigger Picture’.

    Essential Requirements    

    • Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) and an Administrative Certificate.
    • Valid motor vehicle driving license.
    • 3 Years relevant experience.

    Preferred Requirements    

    • Diploma (NQF Level 6) in the Administration field.
    • 4 Years relevant experience.
