    Supervisor Etd C4

    Job Purpose:

    • To facilitate internal and external Engineering Training programmes to address skills gaps and prove competency in line with business needs /requirements.

    Minimum Required Qualification:

    • NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate for Adults).
    • Certificate in ODETDP level 3/Occupational certificate.
    • Occupational trainer NQF L4 .
    • Assessor and Moderator (SASSETS registered).
    • Firearm Instructor and Assessor.
    • Range Officer.
    • Security Skills Programme 1 – 5/ PSIRA – Grade A.
    • Firearm Competency Certificates in: Handle and use a Handgun for Business Purposes; Handle and use a Shotgun for Business Purposes; and Handle and use a Self-loading Rifle or Carbine for Business Purposes.
    • Registration with PSIRA.

    The Appointee should:

    • Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience within an ETD Protection Services environment.
    • Have experience in Mining Security.
    • Have awareness of customer service and apply the skills of customer care in a specific work environment.
    • Display good communication and strong interpersonal skills.
    • Be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel and PowerPoint).
    • Possess report writing skills.
    • Be able to facilitate and conduct meetings and workshops effectively to achieve organisational outcomes.
    • Understand quality requirements for a Quality Management System.
    • Be able to implement policies and processes.
    • Understand the principles of Talent Management and the impact on the organisation.
    • Understand the principles of Performance Management and the impact on the organisation.
    • Be able to plan, develop and deliver presentations and reports for internal and external use.
    • Be able to apply the organisation's code of conduct in a work environment.
    • Be able to apply the principles of corporate governance and ethics in a function.
    • Be able to apply the principles of ethics to improve organisational culture.
    • Be able to apply basic business principles.
    • Be declared medically fit for the environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre.
    • Have clear security screening and credit record.
    • Have a valid driver’s license.

    Advantageous Qualifications:

    • A Law enforcement or security related NQF 5 (Higher Certificate) qualification and a DH4 Dog and Handler /Tactical Firearm Certificate.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Implements Training policies, practices and standards including all legislative requirements in terms of security interventions and other related training.
    • Plans coordinates and provides training recommending enhancements and ensuring that all training and assessment documents are drawn up. This includes risk and hazard identification with regards to latest legislation based on experience and knowledge.
    • Facilitates and assesses the RPL process of the regulated Security Skills programme 1 – 5, as well as security related training as the need business needs dictate.
    • Keeps abreast of latest relevant Training developments, innovations and technologies by means of liaising with other sources and by attending meetings on a regular basis.
    • Assists in the drafting and reviewing of the company’s procedures and policies.
    • Performs any other activities necessary for the effective completion of his/her work.
    • Liaise with SSA and other service providers in order to organise and coordinate nominations, bookings, catering, accommodation, etc for employees attending ETD interventions.
    • Monitors training effectiveness through regular assessments and moderation by following up on SPS staff based at the Operations, measuring whether skills and knowledge attained supports the operational needs.
    • Monitors, maintains and revises training administration, record keeping and report systems by providing accurate information for reports, ensuring that all correspondence with relevant stakeholders is accurate.
    • Coordinates and attend the quarterly Skills Development and Employment Equity Meeting (SD & EE). Ensure minutes are circulated and action plan developed highlighting focus points for Management feedback.
