Supervisor Extrusion Process Controller at Premier FMCG (Pty) Ltd

Job Purpose:

• To obtain required output, product quality and packing requirements in the Extrusion Plant

Key Responsibilities:

• Running Extruder on capacity
• Quality consistency
• Maintenance & preparation
• Overall Plant Efficiency
• Safe working practices
• Housekeeping
• Standard operating procedures
• Invocom™
• Ensure manufacturing according FSSC 22000 standards
• Food Safety Management (adherence to Allergen procedures, housekeeping and clean as you go, adherence to all relevant procedure in your area.)
• Every employee shall ensure both his/her Health and Safety as well as that of other persons who might be affected by their actions
• Adhere to all Site specific and Premier safety rules and regulations as stipulated in the induction programme, Policy, SOP`s, signage or any rules or regulations displayed
• No employee shall intentionally or recklessly interfere with, damage or misuse anything which is provided in the interest of Health and Safety
• Employees shall report all near misses or incidents immediately to their supervisor, HOD or Risk Manager
• All employees shall drive Health and Safety awareness and take responsibility for both their Health and Safety as well as that of others, by stopping any unsafe act or reporting unsafe conditions immediately

Qualification Requirements    

• Matric
• HACCP will be an added advantage

Experience Requirements    

• Be familiar with PLC operated plant
• Have worked in a milling environment

Skills and Competencies    

• Ability to function in a team
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to work under pressure
• Be self-motivated
• Ability to work under minimal supervision

Working Conditions    

• Pressurised environment
• Shift Work
• Stand in for other Controllers when going on annual leave or scheduled training
• Required to work Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays and 24/7 standby
