Supervisor Shift Maintenance - Wessels Mine at South32

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role is a permanent full-time position.

As a Supervisor Shift Maintenance, you will be responsible for leading a team of machine maintenance artisans, tyre repair teams to ensure the effective execution of breakdown and unplanned and maintenance work.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Ensuring maximum equipment availability, reliability,
• And operational stability;
• Safe delivery of maintenance activities;
• Control and account for maintenance expenditure;
• Ensuring that correct failure data information emanating from the breakdown is routed to the Maintenance Analysis & Assurance reliability engineers to enable them to perform quality root cause analysis to eliminate interruptions/ breakdowns of equipment;
• Focus on effective communication and prioritization of breakdowns to ensure the least impact on production operations.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience on maintenance on Atlas Copco 282 Rocket Boomers, 235H Bolters, Epic S2 Boomers & Aard UV;
• Underground hardrock mining experience a requirement.

Qualifications for this role are:

• Grade 12 or N3 Technical Certificate and a valid Trade Test.
