System Services Engineer Level 1 - Linux, Open Source and Automation at Derivco

• In this role, you’ll develop and maintain Open Source strategy and tools for the production teams as well as assist other production and System Services teams in developing Open Source platforms, automation and Cloud strategies. 
• Our perfect candidate will support the installation, optimization, integration, troubleshooting, recovery, modification, and upgrading of IT systems and components to provide services that enable systems to be highly available. 
• Apart from having knowledge of tools and mechanisms for distributing new or upgraded software, you’ll also need to be able to work with other senior staff to deploy and maintain all Linux, Open Source and all public and private Cloud environments.

• Linux: Recommended 
• Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA) or 
• Linux Professional Institute Certified Linux Engineer (LPIC-2) 
• Ansible Recommended 
• Cloud: Advantageous 

Experience: 

• Linux Administration - 1-2 years 
• Virtualization Support - 1-2 years 
• Open Source platforms Support - 1-2 Years (Couchbase, RabbitMQ, Kafka, ELK etc.) 
• Scripting & Automation preferred 
• Python programming preferred 
• Ability to debug and optimize code and automate routine tasks
