Systems and Master Data Administrator - Fourways at Omnia (Pty) LTD

Overview    

• Technical database support: Monitor and report on distribution of database resources and provide physical modelling and design services to tune database applications for optimum performance
• Database specifications: Provide information and comments on suitability during approval process for database specifications to ensure all agreed standards and protocols are followed and data integrity is preserved

Qualifications    

• Matric (Maths and science)
• A certificate, diploma or degree related to data analytics (or similar IT related qualification)

Experience    

• 3 years’ relevant experience

Duties    

• Information security: Implement and provide input on the design of required security measures such as firewalls or message encryption, monitoring performance to notify security experts of any problems
• Analysis of "As Is" and "To Be": Support and contribute to the documentation of "as is" and "to be" processes and describe the changes required to migrate to the "to be" capability to record accurately the change required
• Testing IT performance: Perform website/applications software tests and respond to user emails to monitor, diagnose, and correct performance issues
• Documentation and back up: Create and maintain technical and/or user documentation to a high standard and back up files to ensure instant recovery if problems occur
• Maintain accurate and reliable master data: Execute Master Data creation and changes in line with Group standards. Support the creation and approval of technical data sheets and labels. Perform data quality checks and identify and correct minor issues with the processes or tools in a timely and collaborative manner. Troubleshoot, research, and understand the correlation of data in day-to-day operations. Generate exception reporting for data and/or process non-compliance and coordinate resolution thereof
• Reliable Integrated cross functional master data: Provide first line support on operational processes and applications. Communicate with cross-functional departments, including R&D, customer service, quality, planning, pricing, sales, and sourcing. Ensure integrity of data across all integrated systems (transport planning, demand and supply planning, customer relationship management, SHEQ and other)
• Compliant systems: Support system compliance (business rules, process and data integrity) for improved value extraction
