Tax Compliance Consultant - Durban at BDO South Africa

BDO South Africa has a vacancy for a Tax Compliance Consultant in the Tax Department in our Durban office.

The Tax Compliance Consultant will inter-alia be responsible for:

• Preparation of Corporate Income Tax returns.
• Preparation of provisional tax calculations.
• Completion of IT14SD’s reconciliations.
• Completion of Dividend, Interest and Royalty Withholding Tax returns.
• Knowledge of GreatSoft software package will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of E filing.
• Drafting objections and appeals against assessments.
• Dealing with SARS queries.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• B. Com or equivalent tax qualification.
• Preferably post graduate qualification in Tax.

Experience:

• At least 3-5 years’ experience in Tax Compliance.
• Experience in an audit firm environment.
• Experience on GreatSoft an added advantage.

Competencies:

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Strong focus on client service delivery.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong focus on risk processes and procedures.
• Team player.
