TTN invites Newly Graduated Educators who are looking to find permanent employment to join our leadership development program. The program is fully funded and requires no expense or cost from successful candidates. We focus on under-resourced schools to bring about educational equity in South Africa and are part of the Teach For All global network, which operates in over 60 countries. The Fellowship is a two-year leadership development opportunity for educators, designed to bring positive change in the lives of learners in their schools, whilst developing sought-after leadership skills.
The Fellowship Program Overview once placed:
2x 45-minute virtual coaching sessions per month suitable according to your schedule
1x Professional Peer Learning Community (PPLC) contact session per term
Support visits and classroom observations for the development of teaching strategies
Sharing of learner results and progress
Complete various surveys, including Fellows, Students, Principals, etc.
Develop/Strengthen Community Impact Projects
Attend our Summer Institute at the beginning of 2025, during school holidays (specific dates to be communicated)
Please note this program does not require any examinations but does require commitment, participation, and completion of all assignments and the skills development pathways
You will obtain a Leadership Certificate at the end of the 2-year program
After the 2 years, you will then become a part of our Alumni Program, working with our vast network of teacher leaders from around the worl
Requirements
You have a passion for influencing school culture, leadership and impacting communities positively
You graduated in 2022 or 2023, holding either a Bachelor of Education or Post Graduate Certificate (PGCE)
You are qualified to teach Foundation, Intermediate, Senior Phase, and/or FET Phase
You are qualified to teach one or more of the following subjects:
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths)
Languages (All Home and First Additional Languages)
Creative Arts (Drama, Dance, Visual Arts, Music)
Agriculture
IT Skills, Coding and Robotics
Business and Accounting
You are based in the Western Cape, South Africa, and are willing to teach in a Rural, Township, or Urban Primary or High Schools
You are SACE Registered or in the process of registering
