Develop lesson plans and teaching materials that align with the curriculum for Mathematical Literacy in grades 10-12
Create a positive and engaging learning environment for students, promoting active participation and critical thinking
Provide instruction and support to students in understanding mathematical concepts and solving problems in practical scenarios
Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support to help students achieve academic success
Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary lesson plans and projects that integrate Mathematical Literacy with other subject areas
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns or challenges
Stay current on educational best practices and resources for teaching Mathematical Literacy, incorporating new strategies and technologies into instruction as appropriate
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in mathematics or related field
Teaching certification or credentials in the relevant subject area
Experience teaching Mathematical Literacy in grades 10-12 or related levels
Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts and practical applications relevant to the curriculum
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
