YOUR JOB

This position bears responsibility for:

• Managing team that updates and maintains all terms of trade for MRoA
• Same team has responsibility for doing experience studies for tender or other ad hoc purposes
• Maintaining the highest standard of technical competence & ensuring global and local guidelines are followed
• Supporting life client management strategy – accompanying client managers as functional experts and delivering technical presentations to clients
• Supporting overall Life Business strategy & risk management function
• Liaise with technical pricing, the quotes team and valuations on research areas
• Strong analytical skills, statistical skills and attention to detail

YOUR PROFILE

Qualifications:

• FASSA or equivalent actuarial qualification
• 5+ years experience deriving terms of trade and/or doing experience studies.
• Sound understanding of South African life insurance products and market dynamics

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively in a technical and non-technical manner and at all levels

• An understanding and application of predictive analytic techniques

• Excellent programming skills in actuarial/statistical programming languages
• VBA/Excel
• SQL Server
• R/Python or any relevant software programme
• Able to work under pressure
