Technical Lead: Clinpath (Kassier and Westville Lab) at Ampath

Purpose of Position:

• Responsible for the performance of the laboratory team and the laboratory's day-to-day functioning, ensuring operational goals are met, and high-quality standards are maintained.

Requirements:

• Relevant HPCSA registration (Required), Relevant medical technology qualification/certification (Required)

Required Experience:

• 5 years senior and / or supervisory experience within Clinical Pathology

Key Responsibilities:

• Actively support People Management strategies and initiatives by ensuring both administrative and practical implementation of all business processes, policies and procedures., Maintain good client relations in order to promote the image of Ampath,
• Manage all Quality Control procedures in the laboratory in order to ensure best practices are upheld, Manage all technical tasks in order to ensure efficient specimen flow in the laboratory,
• Manage and monitor laboratory staff in order to ensure that the goals of the department are achieved,
• Manage the Clinpath departmental budget in order to control expenses and ensure the correct allocation of funds, Perform operational management tasks in order to ensure operational priorities and initiatives that may be required, Process routine bench work in laboratory in order to ensure efficient processing of specimens
