The Solutions division is looking for a Technical Project Analyst to join our team in South Africa. This position is open to remote employment in South Africa or can be based out of our office in Cape Town. The Technical Project Analyst is a key member of the Project Delivery team, and will directly support our project teams in creating high-impact, reliable, user-friendly digital systems for Dimagi's public health partners. In this role, you will support a project team working on the optimal design and development of applications built on Dimagi's flagship platform CommCare - including requirements gathering, design, testing, implementation, and monitoring.
Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering: Work closely with the project manager(s) to define requirements by refining business requirements and translating them into technical requirements.
Support the team in building the optimal system according to the requirements gathered, taking into account end-user experience
Create additional process/workflow maps or other reference documents to clarify system behavior and facilitate a clear understanding of business requirements
Understand changes to the project scope and project schedule, and adhere to the appropriate change control techniques
Product documentation: Support the development and maintenance of functional, technical, and training documentation
Support training activities, including the creation of training materials and user-facing documentation, and leading training sessions with the client and end users
Support client and internal teams in understanding how to effectively use the CommCare system and adherence to the agile delivery mode
Quality Assurance and Testing: Manage product quality throughout the software development life cycle
Update and execute system quality assurance test plans to ensure the project team delivers a high-quality product
Update and maintain project tracking tools (e.g., Asana, Jira, etc.) as relevant
Relevant Skills
1 - 3 years of experience in software project coordination or implementation
Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
Experience working in and coordinating with dynamic teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Ability to balance multiple completing tasks across multiple projects
Excellent organization skills
Eligible to work in South Africa
Able to travel to remote settings throughout Southern and East Africa (estimated travel - 10-25%)
