Technical Sales Representative and National Technical Manager at Green Marble Recruitment

Our established client is on the search towards the following 2 open positions:

• National Technical Manager (Crains) - Boksburg
• Technical Sales Representative (Crains) - Rustenburg

Technical Sales Representative: Duties and Responsibilities:

• Identify and secure new crane hire business opportunities.
• Build, grow, and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Conduct site surveys to assess crane capacity, transport, rigging, and equipment requirements.
• Prepare accurate and professional quotations based on customer requirements.
• Negotiate pricing and discounts within approved parameters.
• Ensure all required client documentation is completed and submitted.
• Coordinate with Operations to secure crane bookings and meet customer requirements.
• Ensure Hire Agreements are signed and required orders are received.
• Manage customer queries, complaints, and service-related concerns through to resolution.
• Monitor customer accounts and engage with clients regarding overdue payments.
• Liaise with Finance to resolve outstanding payment and account queries.
• Coordinate billing requirements and assist with month-end administration.
• Resolve queries relating to invoices, log sheets, and general customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales information and reports.
• Update daily sales reports and reconcile information with crane utilisation reports.
• Work closely with Sales, Operations, Workshop, Logistics, and Finance to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Travel extensively within the assigned region and support customers outside standard office hours when required.
• Participate in weekend standby duties as required.

National Technical Manager: Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing annual maintenance and trade expense budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor repair and maintenance expenditure to ensure costs remain within or below budget.
• Continuously develop the technical capabilities of staff through ongoing training on new technologies.
• Undertake special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
• Work closely with the Procurement team and OEMs to secure quality products and services at competitive prices and within required timeframes.
• Manage and process all OEM warranty claims.
• Oversee the registration of all newly manufactured generators.
• Drive generator sales while ensuring excellent customer support for both existing and prospective clients.
• Achieve national generator sales revenue and profit margin targets in line with management objectives.
• Prepare and submit accurate and timely budget, forecast, branch, and customer visitation reports.
• Promote and present new products and service offerings to existing and potential customers.
• Provide customers and internal stakeholders with regular updates on work in progress.
• Apply supplier pricing structures that align with sales and profitability objectives.
• Identify, develop, and present new business opportunities to Executive Management (MANCO).
• Coordinate and facilitate customer site surveys as required.
