Job Description

• My Client, a Privately Owned National Manufacturing Concern. based in the East Rand, is currently recruiting for a Technical Sales Representative to join their team.
• The Technical Sales Representative will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, and selling products and services by demonstrating the product's details and features to existing and new clientele with a focus on high end clients.

Minimum Requirements:

Education and Experience:

• Minimum Grade 12
• Tertiary qualification in Sales or Marketing is advantageous
• Minimum 3 - 5 years sales representative experience
• Knowledge of construction industry
• Experience in sales to the construction market is an advantage

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Acquire new customers
• Service existing customer base
• Pursue potential / planned projects
• Present product and system ranges to professionals and contractors
• Provide onsite technical support, training and inspections
• Influence project specifications
• Participate in industry events to keep in the know about upcoming and existing projects
• Complete contract pricing documentation on ongoing basis
• Manage stock levels and product range with contractors and applicators
• Maintain link between sales, admin and distribution

Skills:

• Very good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to negotiate at all levels
• Presentation skills for training of customers
• Computer literacy on MS Office advantageous
• Report writing skills and administration skills
• Ability to plan, prepare and achieve sales budgets
