To conduct skills assessments, facilitate technical and operational training, perform skills and training needs analysis, ensure quality assurance and moderation of training events, and analyze learning and development data. This role ensures alignment of operational skills development with Sandvik’s organizational goals, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Performance Areas:
Implement strategic objectives for training administration, academy and HR in Sandvik
Develop a training plan to adhere to Seta requirements and other legislation, and communicate to stakeholders.
Participate in the compilation of the budget based on the proposed actions to be taken and the internal and external service providers to be utilized.
Ensure that all training across the organization complies with SAQA standards, uses accredited unit standards, and is aligned to the appropriate NQF levels to maintain consistency, quality, and national recognition
Ensure that each trainer maintains a comprehensive portfolio of evidence to verify training delivery, learner progress, and assessment outcomes.
Conduct comprehensive assessments of employee skills.
Facilitate basic technical and operational training.
Prepare and update instructional materials and lesson plans.
Ensure effective transfer of knowledge and skills.
Assess learner competence during and after training and take corrective action where required.
Conduct moderation of training events
Perform quality assurance on training files
Ensure adherence to SETA and SHEQ standards.
Maintain accurate training records.
Ensure that training proposals are aligned with sectoral priority needs to support industry-specific skills development and national strategies
Your Profile:
2 -5 Years work experience gained within Trackless Mobile Equipment
Knowledgeable in the following ISO Standards (ISO 9001, ISO45001, ISO 14001)
Proven Knowledge of Skills Development Act and SAQA Act
Data Proficiency: Advanced Excel, Structured Query Language, PowerBi
Proficient in applied problem solving.
Qualified artisan in Millwright/Electrical/Mechanical (Section 13/Section 26D with modules)
Diploma in Engineering or any related field (Minimum 360 Credit_ NQF 6)
Qualified Facilitator, Assessor, Moderator and QMS
