Technical Specialist: Infrastructure (ADC) at Liquid Intelligent Technologies

Description

Responsible for the maintenance and technical activities within Data Centre Infrastructure environments to ensure the required availability, compliance, and service levels of Date Centre services. Supervises the outsource contractors and quality control with all maintenance and technical installation activities. Prepares regular maintenance and capacity reports internally on Data Centre performance. Ensure PPM’s are adhered to for all infrastructure component within the Data Centre Environment.

Key Performance Area

• Data Centre Infrastructure Management
• Supervision and quality control of outsource infrastructure management contractors.
• Supervision of building management contractors and systems for all Data Centre infrastructure (electrical, mechanical, and control systems)
• Data Centre Infrastructure Reporting
• Assisting with the preparation of Root Cause Analysis for all infrastructure Major Events in the Data Centres
• Regular reporting on power and cooling capacity
• Data Centre Infrastructure Maintenance
• Day-to-day supervision of maintenance and support contractors for infrastructure (building, electrical, mechanical and control systems)
• Supervising of regular corrective and preventative infrastructure maintenance
• Finance and Administration
• Achievement of targeted CAPEX and OPEX savings
• People Management
• Supervision of local Data Centre infrastructure technical team (where applicable)
• On-site responsibility for health and safety

Requirements

• Formal Qualifications Required
• N6 Certification as minimum.
• Relevant Electrical or Mechanical Qualification
• Certified Data Centre Specialist (CDCS)
• Trade Tested Millwright Preferred or 3 phase Electrician

Wireman's Licence .

Job Related Experience Required

• Experience in Data Centre Infrastructure operations
• Experience with mission critical electrical / mechanical plant
• Experience with MV/LV AC electrical systems, DC / UPS, generators
