Technical Specialist (Point-of-Sale Devices) at Flash Group

Description

• The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of software development lifecycles, and a passion for delivering innovative, customer-centric solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage the development and maintenance of the Point-of-Sale devices.
• Collaborate with other departments, including Sales, Product Managers, Business Support, and Call Centre, to understand customer needs and market trends and ensure the platform meets business objectives.
• Define and implement software development best practices, including Agile development methodologies and tools.
• Ensure the platform is reliable and available at all times, especially during peak business hours
• Research and development of new features and integrations to enhance the platform's functionality and value Point of Sale
• Ensure that the platform meets security and compliance requirements, such as PCI DSS, and that appropriate security measures are in place to protect sensitive data
• Manage relationships with third-party vendors and partners, including payment processors and hardware providers, to ensure seamless integration and support

Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience managing software development projects.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and best practices.
• Experience working with product managers & software developers.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with other departments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools.
• Knowledge of android platforms and technologies is a plus.
