    Technical Specialist (Salesforce Marketing Cloud)

    Purpose of the Role:

    The main purpose of the role is to provide solutions and lead implementations in Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Drive and own Marketing Cloud initiatives and be responsible for optimizing the platform and providing technical expertise to scale digital solutions, email marketing campaigns, and data integration. You must work closely with the tech and marketing teams to ensure that the platform is leveraged to its optimal capabilities.

    Duties will include, but not be limited to:

    • Managing the overall account relationship with Salesforce in collaboration with our tech partners
    • Owning the Salesforce product roadmap; timely tracking of key initiatives with weekly status updates, keeping the business informed of new feature releases and providing feedback to Salesforce on required product enhancements
    • Collecting business requirements, and coordinating development work with relevant teams, in collaboration with key stakeholders
    • Providing day-to-day technical support to the users of Marketing Cloud
    • Optimising Journey builder and automation of core workflows
    • Owning and keeping the Salesforce Marketing Cloud integration blueprint up to date
    • Maintenance and development of Salesforce Marketing Cloud data feed and CDP, collaborating closely with the data teams
    • Providing SME input for required API integrations for Salesforce Marketing Cloud
    • Improving existing functionality with 3rd party integrations and establishing new 3rd party tools
    • Providing training and upskilling on Salesforce Marketing Cloud to stakeholders within Comms and the business and driving workshops to develop these skills within teams.
    • Presenting interval executive-level Salesforce platform demonstrations, and running through all features (i.e. content builder, journey builder, etc.) upon request.
    • Developing scalable solutions based on business objectives, marketing metrics, and tech requirements.
    • Designing and setting up platform configuration and data feeds models to run effective automated email and other campaigns.
    • Act as a hands-on consultant on wide-scale projects including email marketing campaigns, customer service solutions, data segmentation, customer journey, and such.
    • Identifying and troubleshooting platform, deliverability, template rendering, campaign and data feed-related issues.
    • Advising teams regarding the latest tech innovations, new business initiatives, third-party solutions, and effective email templates.
    • Building and maintaining modular campaign template(s) that are responsive and incorporate brand standards and best practices
    • Building highly dynamic campaigns using HTML and AMP script.
    • Performing QA testing to ensure segmented audiences and content triggered sends, mobile connect, and journeys are accurate and rendering properly on different devices.
    • Managing and segmenting audience data using the various Marketing Cloud tools (audience builder, data extensions, API, filters, queries, CDP etc.).
    • Leveraging SFMC tools and scripting languages to update content and enable dynamic content/personalization across a multi-brand, multi-language space.

    Essential Criteria:

    • Extensive experience working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud Suites; the core suites being email, SMS, automation, and mobile(push) setup/config
    • A working knowledge of Automation Studio, Journey Builder and Contact Builder
    • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist
    • An ability to think strategically and develop a real understanding of stakeholder needs
    • Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects across functional teams
    • Experience training and presenting to stakeholders
    • SQL knowledge
    • AMPscript knowledge
    • FTP knowledge
    • REST and SOAP API experience
    • Demonstrates consistent behaviour aligned to the CombiinedF and Organizational Culture

    Desirable Criteria:

    • Worked on ESP migration or API/data feed integration
    • Other Salesforce Marketing Cloud Certifications such as:
    • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist
    • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant
    • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator
    • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer
    • Active in the Salesforce Trailblazer community
    • CDP knowledge
    • Knowledge of the iGaming industry
    • HTML and CSS coding
    • Domain/DNS knowledge/Configs
    • A good technical understanding outside of the Salesforce suite
    • Multi-channel subscriber management
