    Technical Support Team Lead

    Technical Support Team Lead

    The purpose of this role is to ensure the day to day management of a team of highly skilled Cloud focused engineers, in a manner that is in line with excellent service delivery to meet the clients contractual obligations. The role reports to the Service Desk Manager. 

    Experience:

    • 3 to 5 years proven experience leading technical engineers.
    • Deep knowledge of Azure and MWP environments and products. (certification will be an advantage)
    • Understanding of ITIL (certification will be an advantage)
    • In depth knowledge of performance metrics
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills
    • Decision making skills

    Responsibilities:

    • Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture
    • Oversee day to day operations of the team
    • Get involved with senior engineers & management to deliver complex projects
    • Be involve in strategic planning internally as well as for clients
    • Set clear team goal, delegate tasks and set deadlines
    • Motivate team members
    • Discover training needs and provide coaching
    • Listen to team members’ feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts
    • Recognize high performance and reward accomplishments
    • Be willing to work flexible hours in order to provide support for clients in the UK, Europe, US, Africa and Asia

    • Understanding and knowledge of physical infrastructure along with Virtualisation Technologies.

    • Knowledge/Understanding of good information security practice from a technical and management perspective
    • Demonstrable knowledge of ITIL.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and other departments
    • Excellent decision making/problem solving skills
    • Strong planning and organisation skills
    • The aptitude and willingness to learn new software packages, systems and solutions.
    • In-depth knowledge of performance metrics
