Technical Team Lead - Point Of Sale at Clicks Group

Introduction

• The Group IT Department is looking to hire a Technical Team Lead - POINT OF SALE, to join the Frontshop and Pharmacy Team at our Head Office in Cape Town. This role will be reporting into the APM for Store Systems.

Purpose and Objectives

• The purpose of the role is to ensure our in-store systems, including POS, Back-Office & Pharmacy, are appropriately supported and maintained in order to meet business objectives
• Ensure uptime of all systems
• Ensure agreed SLA’s are managed for external vendors
• Manage external vendors for development and support
• Manage software and system configuration across the store estate
• Co-ordinate and take accountability of all software builds and rollouts
• Provide technical expertise and direction for the POS team
• Assign personnel to tasks and directs their activities, balancing resource allocations to meet business demand
• Ensure that development methodologies and project disciplines are observed
• Manage the budget for the area of control, including licencing for products and services
• Develop Service Level Agreements for external vendors
• Responsible for staffing, growth and development of team members
• Responsible for performance management of team

• 5 – 7 years IT experience

• Experience in managing projects

Education

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science / Information Systems or other relevant IT qualification or 5 years experience in application team management
