Technician AOD (Middelburg) at Columbus Stainless

The successful candidate will be required to:

• Monitor and manage quality standard in the section
• Coordinate raw materials requirements and relevant equipment required.
• Coordinate raw materials requirements and relevant equipment required. 
• Ensure Steelplant mass, consistency, chemical analysis and availability requirements are met.
• Interacts with relevant stakeholders regarding AOD production targets, raw materials required and equipment availability.
• Manage continuous cost saving programs and ensure implementation of recommended solutions. 

Requirements

• The suitable candidate will hold a National diploma (Mechanical/Electrical field or equivalent) with 2 yrs. of relevant experience.
• The desirable candidate will require technical skills relating to the production environment
• Completed TMDP or studying towards TMDP/MDP/POM will be an advantage
• Must have knowledge of; OHSACT, and understand the principles of QCDSM.
• Computer literacy (MS office, People soft and INX)
• Good communication, analytical problem solving, high attention to detail, planning and organizing skills.
• Must be able to solve problems through analytical analysis, planning, innovation and sound judgement under pressure.
