Technician: Micro - East London (Night Shift) at Ampath

Requirements:

• Certificate: Medical Technician  (Required), HPCSA registration: Supervised Practice Microbiology  (Required), HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field  (Required)

Required Experience:

• Experience in pathology laboratory environment,
• Knowledge: Ampath Microbiology document system,
• Knowledge: HPCSA regulations,
• Knowledge: Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSHA)

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath,
• Perform general tasks in order to assist with maintaining best practice within the laboratory,
• Perform receiving and resulting tasks on the Meditech system in order to ensure correct handling, preparing and recording of specimen and results,
• Perform Serological identification typing tasks in order to ensure effective processing and resulting of serological bacterial typings,
• Process specimens on the benches in order to ensure sufficient delivery of results.
