    Technician: Service Wheel Alignment

    Specific Role Responsibilities    
     Wheel Alignment:

    • Conduct wheel alignment procedures on variety of vehicles, ensuring accuracy in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
    • Utilize laser alignment equipment and computerized systems to diagnose and correct wheel alignment discrepancies.
    • Inspect steering and suspension components, making recommendations for repairs or replacements as necessary.

    Wheel Fitting:

    • Install and fit a wide range of wheels onto vehicles, ensuring proper seating and torque sequence.
    • Identify and address any fitment issues, such as offset, bolt pattern, and compatibility with braking systems.
    • Utilize tools and equipment to ensure proper tire mounting and balancing processes during wheel fitting.

    Wheel Balancing:

    • Execute wheel balancing procedures to eliminate vibrations and achieve optimal tire and wheel performance.
    • Use computerized and manual wheel balancing machines to identify and rectify imbalances.
    • Conduct visual inspections of tire tread and sidewalls for damage, recommending replacements as

    Breakdown Handling:

    • Respond to wheel or tire-related breakdowns promptly, diagnosing and resolving issues in a timely manner.
    • Perform on-site repairs or, if necessary, arrange towing to our service center for more extensive repairs.
    • Maintain accurate records of breakdown incidents, intervention steps taken, and recommended preventative measures.

    Customer Service:

    • Effectively communicate and educate customers on the importance of wheel alignment, fitting, balancing, and tire maintenance.
    • Provide accurate estimates for services and ensure transparency in all customer interactions.
    • Attend to customer inquiries and demonstrate a proactive approach to meeting their needs and exceeding expectations.

    Qualifications and Experience    

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Technical certification or degree in Automotive Services or related field is preferred.
    • Minimum of 3 years years of relevant experience as a Technician specializing in wheel alignment, wheel fitting, wheel balancing, and handling breakdowns.
    • Valid driver's license.

    Skills and Personal Attributes    

    • In-depth knowledge of wheel alignment techniques, wheel fitting procedures, and wheel balancing best practices.
    • Proficient in using computerized diagnostic and alignment equipment.
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently as well as in a team and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
    • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
    • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (tires, wheels, etc.
