Technologist: Clinpath Dayshift Kloof Gen Lab PTA at Ampath

Purpose of Position:

• To perform routine and stat analyses of samples and maintain analysers / instruments in a Clinical Laboratory

Requirements:

• HPCSA registration as Medical Technologist (Clinical Pathology)  (Required),
• National Diploma in Medical Technology (Clinical Pathology) / BHs MLS  (Degree in Bachelor of Health Science in Medical Laboratory Sciences)  (Required)

Required Experience:

• 1-2 years working experience within a pathology environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain good client relations in order to promote the image of Ampath,
• Perform administration tasks in order to ensure effective administration systems in the laboratory,
• Perform Quality Control procedures in the laboratory in order to ensure best practices are upheld.,
• Process routine bench work in laboratory in order to ensure efficient processing of specimens,
• Provide technical support within laboratory in order to ensure the efficient flow of specimens and timeous resulting of specimen,
• Train laboratory staff in order to ensure continuous development and education
