You as a Tender/Quotation Specialist will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Modderfontein, South Africa. An Experienced Professional applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.
Your responsibilities
Supporting tender in issuing the project budget and time schedule by providing timely and accurately input from suppliers´ quotations incl. provision or commitment of anticipated qualified improvement potentials.
Facilitate the tendering process from the receipt of customers inquiry, request for quotation or tender, specification analysis for final proposal solution.
Review RFQ (Request of quotation) technical spec or commercial requirements from the customer.
Loading opportunity on Salesforce.
Ensuring that the tender required documents are submitted with an offer.
Interacting and collaborating with sales, design and factory personnel to formulate
competitive proposals in accordance with the specified requirements, documentations and company’s policies.
Managing the preparations and presenting of detailed proposals of all technical, commercial (e.g. Full Cost Model) and submit for review.
Preparation of customer’s offer letter.
Identifying potential risks on bids and quotations.
Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer’s needs.

Your background
A bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in relevant field is preferred.
Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in tendering and quotation in High Voltage equipment, Circuit breakers, surge arrester, GIS, disconnectors, current transformers.
Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
