The Territory Manager will be responsible for developing and closing sales opportunities indirectly with a number of customers in their assigned market territory. This is achieved by planning and collaborating closely with the partner sales community to identify, develop, accelerate, up-sell and close transactions.
The Territory for this role is a defined customer list in Kenya, Nigeria and Ghana and requires regular travel for face to face customer and partner engagements.
Your tasks will include:
Territory and account planning
Leverage partners to identify and close sales with their end customers
Cold calls to develop sales activities with a large number of new mid-market and enterprise scale end users
Up-sell and cross-sell to the existing customer base with renewals team
Create and close sales opportunities
Maintain accurate forecasts, account and opportunity details in Sales Force
Propose, coordinate and participate to marketing activities in the territory
Coordinate and align plans with internal supporting functions such as Technical Sales, Partner Managment and Marketing
What we expect from you:
Fluent in English
Other local African languages (Kenya, Nigeria or Ghana) a plus
Prior sales experience into Kenya, Nigeria or Ghana a plus
Direct and Channel new business sales development experience
Data protection, data recovery experience is a plus
Experience with vendors associated to Virtualisation and / or Storage technology is a plus
Track record of accomplishment selling to the IT infrastructure specialists
Proven ability to develop new sales
Be a self-starter with the ability to learn quickly
Be a high-energy sales person
Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where roles and responsibilities change quickly
Be comfortable travelling for at least 50 – 60 % of the time.
