    TM&D Representative

    The Trade Marketing and Distribution Representative represents the Company and therefore it is important that they feel they are part of the overall corporate structure and that they portray and reflect the standing, size and quality of the Company.

       Job responsibilities

    • Financial assets: Timely collection of payments and avoiding overdues and bad debts with the minimal disruption to sales by defining and allocating the right credit limit defined by credit policy to retailer
    •  Product visibility: Install and refresh BATSA touchpoint materials according to retail contracts, cycle and shopper campaign plans (e.g. Permanent, semi-permanent displays, planograms, price tags, shelf highlighters)
    • Run defined retailer engagement programs (B2B) in retail in accordance with company strategy, implementation and agreed compliance measures i.e. Pay For Performance (PFP) Pay For Compliance (PFC)
    • Retailer investment: Ensure retail awareness of Total Cost of Investment (TCI) elements, establish & manage retail contracts and monitor compliance by performance tracking. Allocate pay for compliance & pay for performance payments to outlets
    • Daily utilization of digital platform initiatives e.g. Catalyst that support the overall implementation and tracking of Campaigns, Competitor Insights and ISF Management
    • Full understanding of Territory and the current Instore Furniture application in outlet. Utilise relationship to focus on opportunities to provide ownership of BATSA product availability and visibility on shelf through-the-use of relevant Instore Furniture
    • Product availability: Ensure the right product mix availability at the right place aligned with Brand Coverage Targets. Across both carton, pack and stick where applicable
    • Product quality: Ensure that stocks are monitored and rotated at certain intervals for complying with the stocking policy of the company (FIFO - First In First Out) and returned product products collected aligned with the policy
    • Full knowledge of BATSA product range in order to facilitate sell-in opportunity to reclaim volume in alignment of Brand Coverage Targets
    • Manage retail stocks levels and orders to avoid Out Of Stock’s by driving order influencing across all outlets. 

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience

    • Tertiary qualification (preferably in Marketing) or 
    • Matric/Grade 12 qualification with previous experience as a sales representative within a FMCG environment
    • Valid Code 08 Driver’s licence
    • Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills
    • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
    • Familiarity with Business Relationship Management (BRM)
    • Project management
    • Effective relationship building skills and openness to feedback
    • Strong commercial understanding: (Bankable profit)
    • Product category understanding
    • Inventory & stock management
