Town Planner: Telecoms (Project-based Contract) at Kelly

Role Purpose

We’re seeking a Project-based Town Planner to work on Contract within the Durban region, to assist in the development of telecommunications infrastructure - building cellphone towers to facilitate connectivity. The business model aims to minimise the number of cellular telephone towers by allowing their infrastructure to be shared by all service providers, rather than each service provider developing their own infrastructure.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage outsourced town planner service providers responsibility is to ease or avoid social, economic and environmental problems
• Manage and attend to all general query when and if the need arises
• The Planner will be working directly with the project manager
• Must identify the root of the problem as well as any related issues
• Must be able to keep in mind the long and short-term goals for the growth of the business
• Must be able to use collected data to provide accurate reporting

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Minimum tertiary qualification: advanced diploma or degree with town planning major
• 2 years of town planning experience - non-negotiable!
• Strong Analytical skills
• Process-driven and a sound understanding of internal controls and processes.
• Energetic and positive about the technical accuracy
• Conscientious with good attention to detail
• Working knowledge in Microsoft Office, Windeed, Maps
• Experience in medium-sized organisation
• Experience with administration
