National Senior Certificate plus undergraduate qualification (NQF level7) in Urban/Town and Regional Planning or relevant qualification. Compulsory registration with South African Council of Planners (SACPLAN) as a professional Town and Regional Planner on appointment. Three (3) years post qualification Town and Regional Planning experience required Computer literacy: Microsoft word, Excell and Power Point. Valid driver’s license is required.
Duties
Monitor and support municipalities to ensure effective Spatial planning in line with Spatial Planning and Land Use Management Act 16 of 2013 (SPLUMA) and other relevant land related legislations. Manage and motivate allocated resources to ensure that they align and realise the Directorates objectives and Departmental goals.
Assist in capacitating municipalities to administer land use management in line with SPLUMA. Assist in managing and controlling budget/ cash flow of the respective District in line with financial management prescripts, PFMA. Support the Directorate to identify, analyse and resolve risks.
