Job Description

• Mr Price Logistics is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Scientist Trainee to join our team. This 12-month program is designed to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in a data-driven environment.

Purpose & Objective:

• Develop and implement data-driven decision-making models and provide insights through the application of machine learning, data mining and artificial intelligence methods.
• The Objective is to develop a data scientist with expertise in supply chain and logistics, equipped to drive business growth through data-driven insights to improve business and operational efficiency, reduce costs, increase revenue in line with strategic objectives

Responsibilities

• Data analysis: Assist in analyzing and interpreting complex data sets to inform business decisions.
• Model development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data models and algorithms.
• Insight generation: Identify trends and patterns in data to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
• Data visualization: Create reports and visualizations to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Learning and development: Participate in training and development initiatives to enhance data science skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

• Degree: Bachelor's or Relevant degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.
• Technical skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL. Statistics and machine learning fundamentals
• Data visualization: (Tableau, Power BI & Excel)
• Data analysis: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Agile learner: Ability to adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
