Treasury Administrator - Cape Town at Santam Insurance

What will you do?
Santam is looking for a passionate, proactive, and energetic individual for a position as Treasury Administrator on a 6 month Fixed Term contract. The position exists in the Group Treasury, Back-office team based in Tygervalley, Bellville.

• The main responsibility for this position will entail executing cross border payments and receipts for the Santam Group. Reconciliation of FX deal settlements e.g., spots; FEC’s; FX swaps etc. and liaising with various banks for query resolution. Preparation of related monthly Treasury KPI and compliance reports.

• This position requires working closely with the various business partners with the Santam Group
• Reconciliation and processing of FX deal settlements
• Execute foreign payments and receipts on electronic banking systems/platforms
• Execute interbank/inter-account transfers to accommodate adequate reserves/ funding of ZAR/CFC bank accounts
• Collate & assist with preparation of reporting requirements for banks and SA Reserve Bank Exchange Control regulatory reports
• Adhere/apply to exchange control protocol and related compliance requirements
• Data analytics related to cross border transactions to influence pricing, cost saving mechanisms and decision making 
• Query resolution within SLA timelines– internal and external stakeholders

Qualification and Experience

• B Com Finance Degree or similar qualification
• Treasury related certification (advantageous)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Corporate Treasury/ Bank back- office environment 
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with processing foreign payments via online banking platforms
• Experience with processing settlements/funding via Treasury Management Systems (advantageous)

Knowledge and Skills

• Computer literate (Advanced Excel)
• Working knowledge/Practical experience with application of the South African Reserve Bank Exchange Control Regulations and compliance related to OFAC; AML etc. regulations/protocols
